Les Mazots du Clos regularly welcomes unique artists from around the world. We’re proud to present an exclusive collaboration with Jan Menzel, whose striking X-ray artworks are on display throughout the property.

Born in Germany and raised in South Africa, Jan now lives in Stellenbosch. His background in photography and deep commitment to wildlife conservation come together in his latest project, SHARK X – a series of X-ray images capturing ocean mammals and marine wildlife in haunting detail.

The works highlight the fragility of endangered species, offering both visual impact and a call for protection. Each limited-edition piece is printed on Hahnemühle German Etching archival paper under Jan’s direct supervision, ensuring both quality and authenticity. These works are available exclusively through Les Mazots du Clos.
